Amanda Ripley Author of The Unthinkable

The Source Code

Please forgive the plug, but I have to shout from the mountain tops that Ben Ripley, who is a very talented screenwriter in addition to being an excellent brother, has a movie opening this week.

The Source Code, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan and Vera Farmiga, opens April 1. Time travel, disasters, romance…and Jake Gyllenhaal, let me just say again.

Wow! The Ripleys are one talented family! Did the two of you drive your parents crazy? Any chance of the two of you collaborating on a movie based on your book, now that he is “the flavor of the month?” Are there any more Ripleys around? Can I invest in your projects?

This movie looks great! This wasn’t the first time I saw the trailer, but after watching it one more time I really want to see this movie soon. Just as Stephen has already said, “The Ripleys are one talented family!”. You and your brother must be very relentless in your approach to work ethic. You two must be doing something right because you both bring amazing qualities to the table.
